2016 AAS Winner. A golden-yellow sister to the dark carmine red of ‘Carmen. Both colors are winners of the prestigious award, with ‘Carmen’ winning in 2006 and ‘Escamillo’ ten years later. ‘Escamillo’ has the added advantage of being organic. A ‘bull’s horn’ type with tapered fruits and sweet flavor is perfect for salads, sautéed, stuffed or fire roasted.
